Sofia, the real-time location services platform, has advanced capabilities that range from patient check-in, bed assignments, and hand hygiene compliance, to real-time patient location tracking, automated alerts, and temperature monitoring for estate fridges. In addition, it enables wheelchair tracking and bed management, helping to streamline patient discharge, and enhancing care and operational efficiency.

Experience the future of hospital efficiency and safety with our cutting-edge demonstration at our centre of excellence (COE). During the demo you'll be able to discover how real-time asset tracking can ensure optimal PAR levels for infusion pumps and syringe drivers, reducing unnecessary stockpiling and maximising utilisation, as well as seeing how our safety tags protect staff in critical situations.

We have three demo slots available, each taking place at 15:00 on Tuesday 15th, Wednesday 16th, and Thursday 17th of April.

What's included in the demo?

The demonstration will cover topics ranging from the simple, such as:

  • Asset tracking of infusion pumps and syringe drivers, including PAR level – i.e., making sure you have sufficient medical devices available in a defined area.
    • The solution reduces the number of devices required in a hospital, with complete visibility ensuring that you are fully utilising the assets available.
  • Staff safety, and how the AiRISTA B4n Safety Switch can help to safeguard staff in certain circumstances.
    • More than 400 hospitals across the US and Australia utilise this technology to ensure staff safety, alongside several high-security UK hospitals.

Through to some of the more sophisticated capabilities that the Sofia platform has to offer, including:

  • Patient check-in (patient flow, bed assignment, patient location)
  • Hand hygiene (matching staff to rooms and gel dispensers for compliancy)
  • Patient exams (screensaver alerting)
  • Temperature monitoring for estate fridges (ensuring compliance)
  • Patient discharge (Angle of Arrival wheelchair traceability, and FlowStudio bed management)

Who is this aimed at?

The demonstrations will be of most use and interest to individuals involved in:

  • BioMed engineering, including those responsible for owning and maintaining assets.

  • Estates management tasked with managing fridges, beds, wheelchairs, etc.

  • Senior nursing staff responsible for dealing with patient and staff safety.

  • HR professionals, where there are existing issues or concerns around staff safety.

  • IT management, as the RTLS platform will utilise the facility's wireless infrastructure.
