Global connections with Anglo-Eastern

Anglo-Eastern is a leading global provider of ship management services, with a head office in Hong Kong and over 25 office locations in Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas. The organisation’s European offices had been operating multiple telephony systems, and needed a single platform to bring these sites together with improved communication, inclusivity, and efficiency. ITGL worked with Anglo-Eastern to achieve this with a solution that is enabling them to streamline their operations across the world.

The Challenge
  • Anglo-Eastern wanted to simplify the management of their European sites through a single platform, preferably using a cloud-based system.

  • The solution needed to accommodate existing PSTN agreements in-country, and align with prior investments that the Asian head office had made in Cisco on-prem technology.

  • Flexibility was also a key focus – with minimal on-site IT resources, the European sites needed to be able to be managed remotely, from a central location.

Outcomes
  • Central management of all sites using the Webex Control Hub, enabling IT services to operate from a single location. The solution has currently been deployed in 6 European sites and is soon to be deployed in Canada.

  • Local PSTN leverage to ensure that each site has its own connectivity, driving down costs and minimising disruption during the migration phase, without compromising on the streamlined experience of the solution.

  • Improved communication across the world, with the Webex Application making it easy for sites to talk to each other.

  • A fully inclusive culture across all global sites, due to the integration of the European Cloud environment into the existing Cisco investments.

  • Quick resolutions to any support requests through the ITGL support package.
